Take it to a mechanic that knows about cars instead of trying to fix your car for free

sounds similar to what happened to me when my fuel pump went out in the 98

i really dont know how to give more info. and no engine lights.nothing, just started doing it yesterday. it only seems to do it in first and second if you punch it at around 1-3000 rpm. could spark plugs be an issue possibly?

could be spark plugs or maybe a bad oxygen sensor or a plugged catalytic converter one think is that you could tell if spark plugs are bad by looking at them. may car has the same or similar problem. my check engine light and showed an after cat oxygen sensor. after $94 and new oxygen sensor continued and now i am just living with it so can't give you a positive answer.

in any newer computer /emission controled vehicle it could be some thing simple to something major

from an o2 sensor to a tranny going out

i have had this issue several times what it comes down to is process of elimination

the first time it happened i threw a map sensor code so i spent the $70 and got a new map sensor to find out one of the 3 wires going in to it was broken @ the connector

the second time it happened i got a engine light telling my multi-cylinder misfire on i think it was 1 and 3 (1 and 3 or on separate coils) my coil packs were over heating almost $70 a piece and that solved the issue

I should have changed the "distributor cap" when i changed the coils but i was trying to fix the car as cheaply as possible and it come back to haunt me as i completely lost spark to cylinder 1 and 2 about a month ago

the third time my catalytic converter was plugged and it was limiting my motor to 3k rpm again 500 befor i got the engine light saying it was low catalytic efficiency on bank 1 (front o2 sensor lack of exhaust flow high concentration of fuel)

one small part in a massive machine can bring it down..

it could also be a throttle position sensor.... take it to a mechanic have them drive it around they could probly tell you more than any one of us could
