Hello, I got a 96 cavalier 2.2 back in Aug. Since then I've changed the oil a few times, flushed trans, flushes coolant, changed plugs, changed air filter, and ran LucasOil treatment in it a few times. I noticed the car running different though. It stalls on me every once in a while (while at a stoplight) but starts right back up. It also like vibrates/ bucks every once in a while when I'm at a stoplight (only bucks like twice then stops.) There is no check engine light on. Is there something else I should replace?? I've taken it to two mechanics and they said they couldn't get it to shut off and it seemed fine. Sometimes I feel like the car is working harder than it is actually going. (like it feels like you should be going faster than you actually are) Any ideas?? Thanks!!!
for the stalling, check the idle air control motor/valve/solinoid. im not 100% positive on the 2.2, but is hould be part of the throttle body. for the "bucking", could be the same thing. Hope these ideas help.
