My front left strut is making a metal on metal type of a sound every time I go over a bump. The roads are super tore up because of the plows and the past 2 weeks my car has just been taking a beating. Ideas on how to fix it?
Is the boot on the strut? The stop cusion. Are they stock struts? Have you ever took them off? Need that info first

sounds like strut mounts to me.

Bad strut mounts do sound exactly like that. They seem to go bad quite often 'round here; especially during pot hole season.
I'm a 6ft. tall, 250+ lb., man, and I proudly drive the Sunfire. My wife drives the half-ton 4x4...
Any idea on how to change the mounts? Is there upper and lower mounts? Or just upper?
only upper mounts, easy to change with th right tools.
