1998 Sunfire GT. Daughter driving from San Antonio back to Houston. Second daughter calls from car and said smoke is coming from under the dash. I told her to turn off the stereo. Later I called and they were at a service station. They were told the blower motor fuse was blown. They made it home. Now my question is what probably actually happened? I did a search and read the sticky about 1+2 blower speeds. Would the smoke have been coming from the blower motor, the heater controls or the resistor? How hard is it to fix?
Anyone know of a reasonable place in Houston to do work like this? I'm in Alberta so I'm not going to be much help.
