so my car was stalling out when i would come a stop especially if it was a sudden stop. it wouldnt chug or flutter or w.e it would just die silently and be hard to steer and all that of course. well got my fuel filter changed, seemed to fix them problem. but now if i go around a turn a lil too sharp and hard it stalls again and i gotta force steer it around the corner the rest of the way before i hit traffic. kinda scary. it doesnt do it if i go slow, but if the corner is a roundabout im not trying to be the only wierdo going 5 mph around the turn. anyone know why would the car stall like that?
Hi,
Does it do it with a full tank as well as being very low on fuel? Might be your fuel pickup in the fuel tank if it only does it when quite low of gas.
Cars have a rollover fuel shut off switch that shuts off the fuel pump after a severe accident, haven't heard of one going bad on these but that might be a possibility.
Dave
could also be a clogged fuel filter i have seen that be the cause as well
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
fuel filter was just changed. yes, does it no matter how much gas i have. just recently started doing this. i have tien coilovers and its lowered so im use to bein able to hit turns hard if i want. but dont normally.
this happened on my 4dr and it ended up being my pump in the gas tanks
just died on me at a atm. i was stopped and started to pull away slowly and it died on me. how much to fix the fuel canister/pump or w.e in the gas tank? i hear its expensive
Same type of problems Ive been experiencing in my posts, do you have any lights on? check engine or anything?
yes. but the check engine light has been on for a whileway before the stalling problem..
ever find out what the problem was? pump? crank sensor?
any1? btw still have the problem but no check engine light
Might wanna check all your fluids. Well specificially your tranny fluid. Make sure it's topped off.
