as the title says the key has some play in and out of the ignition no matter what position its in. if you wiggle it a lil bit u can actually pull it out.
question is do i need the ignition switch or the ignition cylinder? and which years are compatible with a 97 Sunfire SE 2.2L Auto?
Get a new key cut and see if the problem is still there.
At my old job you could completely remove the key while driving. My boss had a new set of keys made and it solved the problem.
