2004 cavalier 68804 miles, just had a valve job done and everything's back together car runs but i'm not getting boom on cylinders 2-3. ive pulled the plugs and there is fuel going into the cylinders and i seem to be running a tad rich on cylinders 1 and 4. i have no idea what to do next, which means i am an idiot and i would like some input please.
There's a missfire on 2-3. Check the spark plug springs in the coil connectors to plugs. Make sure they are still there. Could be low compression, check the compression.
springs are still there, will check compression tomorrow at work, thanks bro
it was my 2-3 coil, replaced it and its running smoother now but still not perfect, now the number one and four plug tubes are filling with fuel
ok its number 1, 3 and four filling with fuel. it was doing this last night and the only thing thats change since then is the addition of a new coil pack
Any check engine light?
Did you connect the map sensor?
Maybe try disconnecting the battery to relearn the fuel trims after the misfire.
yes on the check engine light, map sensor is in, will try the battery. just gonna get it towed to work for a diag if this doesnt work
