Hi all. Just bought a 95 cavalier automatic for my daughter. Problem is the engine will die when coming to a stop. Starts right up no problem, put in any gear except park or neutral, and it will violently die. It seems to be heat related because if I wait long enough it starts and drives like nothing is wrong, untill it gets hot again. Had it towed to a shop, and when I got there it started and ran like normal. Reading thru the forum I see a lot of engine stalling, but none like this. Thanks for any input.
So is the shop fixing it or are you? If the shop is fixing it then its pointless to tell you where to start.
I plan on having them run codes, and depending on what comes up, if I fix it or them. I was just curious if anybody had the same problem and what solved it.
