I have a 00 Sunfire GT with the factory fog lights... one day they just stopped working. The fuse for the fog lights work and there is power going to the switch, but the switch doesnt light up... The bulbs I had in it totally melted and pretty much ruined the housing of the fog light... I got new wires for the lights and they dont work either.

I checked the relay by the radiator and I dont think power is getting to it, but could that be cause the switch isnt working??

Has anyone had this problem?? is it the switch??

sounds like ya fried the switch.. hit as junkyard,find a new one,swap it out and give it a try.. save your self a little time and grab two in case the second one goes.. then check all the connection and wires to make sure they are not the problem before swapping the 3rd switch.

I'm having a similar problem with mine except one of my bulbs work while the other doesn't. I just swapped out new bulbs yesterday and the passenger side light still doesn't work. I'm wondering if a wire or something is bad...

I had a similar issue when I purchased my 01 GT.... it turned out that the wires coming out of the fog light relay where fried... spliced in a whole new relay harness thingy and then it worked like a charm..

I went through everything... Bulbs, wiring to bulbs, switches.. you name it i tried it... turned out to be the relay wiring...
