Hey guys.
I have a 1996 2.2L with around 115,000mi. The other day while I was driving around the engine just quit and now she won't start. I checked the Battery and it was a bit drained, so I replaced it. She will try to turn over and the fuel pump will turn on and the starter will engage, but she won't run. I'm pretty sure it's the ICM, but I was wondering if there was any way I can be sure. I don't want to drop $180 for a new one and not have it work. Also it is throwing a P0600 code, which means there is a failure to communicate between the modules, but I assume it means the communication with the ICM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Failing ICM's are common on these engines. It's dirt cheap to find the module and coils at a wrecker. I can get the whole assembly using the coils for $10 U.S.
