So i changed my low beams because i hated the color but i feel like i put in highbeam bulbs even though i dont think theyd fit into the socket? because it says service engine and my highbeam light wont turn off if the headlights are on is it possible i touched both bulbs and burnt them out and only have highbeams?
my 97 takes a 9005 and 9006 bulb for high and low...the connectors are slightly differenent but I would imagine with some excessive force you could make them plug in.... Its possible that your multi-function switch could be bad as well causing the high beams to not turn off...

i put the wfong bulbs in the 00. did te same thing. never fixed it either....
Well turns out 9004 bulbs are a direct fit for the 2002... I let my friend pick the bulbs up when i was at work when i went to autozone today i found out they were 9007 problem solved.
