well i got the car down to the garage & am going to take the oil pan off tomorrow & see if/which rod bearing is bad (im thinking #1 cylinder) and if the crank journal isnt messed up i want to get the bearings put in it & get it running right. my question to you is what clearance should i be shooting for between the rod bearings & crank journals?

also when i searched i read that the rods should be torqued down to 38 ft/lbs, is this information accurate?
