Cluster Needle not moving :s

First of all sorry for my english, a few weeks ago i changed the color of my hvac lights to blue, did everything as explained on this website and then got everything in place as it was before, then after a few days i noticed that the fuel needle didnt move at all it was on the empty position, i tried turning the engine on and then off several times and nothing,
by the way my tank was not completely full but not empty either, so i went to fill my car up and still nothing, i continued driving and went to the gym for an hour after i returned and turned the engine on the needle was in the full position, then i tried turning it on and off many time again and was working fine
the problem is that it has happened a few times, i don't drive my car everyday, sometimes when i drive everything is fine with the fuel needle and then after a few days it goes back to being stucked at the empty position. is like it fixes itself after driving for while
i dont know what to do, all this started happening after removing the dash to put my blue led lights, after installing the light i put the dash together everything perfect i dont know why this is happening

no. a filter has nothing to do with your lights. you have a short in your cluster after messing with it.

May of killed the stepper motor in the cluster. Happends all the time in 2000 up GMs. The fuel stepper motor is usually first to go.
