Air/oil separator question
Monday, November 09, 2009 11:57 AM
Hey what's up

is the air/oil separator (2.4) a maintenance part?do they or should I say can they go bad even though there's nothing inside of it?it spits oil out like crazy and it causes white smoke to pour out of the exhaust. The rings are probably shot in the motor causing blow by,but I was just wondering if anyone ever had to chane one. The 2 hoses that go to it are good so I know that's not the problem. Thanks.

Maybe someone can refresh my memory.before i had my block rebuilt(6 years ago),i coulda swore there was some sort of filter on the inside of the air/oil separator.I dont know if it came out when they rebuilt the block or what.Am i wrong and thinking about something else?I remember seeing a little white square like filter somewhere, but i dont remember where.Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the separator?
