1. humming sound from front that goes away during a left hand turn (maybe wheel bearing?)
2. reverse turning wheel fully to the right think and skipping around ((axle?)
3. car jacked up and in gear... drivers side wheel spin freely
4. oil leaking from engine between block and head plus oil throughout engine bay. i believe this is the head gasket. i was just thinking of getting the import performance hp kit but dont know if its worth it or if i should just get the engine gasket kit.
help and opinions plz
i have an ld9
also considering going getting 91mm bore and 10.5-1 comp
having the block bored and cleaned up
what would a job like this cost me is it worth it
just wanna get my internals ready for add ons
Goes when your turn left, bad right front wheel bearing
Use tracer dye to find oil leak, head gaskets seal coolant passages, not oil gallies

Wrong my friend.
Oil passes through the head gasket also. He didn't tell us what engine he has (at least I didn't notice it). An overhead cam needs oil. Where does it come from if it doesn't pass through the block to the head via the gasket?

Correct
A DOHC or SOHC does have oil passgaes, just not on the side of it, he says it leaks down the side of the block, the oil passages are more inwards than the coolant passages.
There are coolant passages right on the edge of the block.

if its bad enough it could be both
Check oil for bubbles / white discolorations... should tell you if you have a bad HG.
checked the oil i have too keep adding about a quart but it all looks pretty clean. so there must be a leak on the coolant side.
would it be worth the work to get that engine rebuild i mentioned
o yeah coolant level is low too but no heat issues
If the Humming sound is not a clicking sound then replace the affected hub assy. They are about 40 bucks and you need a Torx 55W to remove it from the K frame. I used an impact but a hand driver that you hit w/ a hammer will break them loose as well. You'll have to remove the CV axel nut too but the new hub should come w/a new nut.
well at least i know thats gonna be cheap, but its the other problem im worried about
