I used to have a nitrous bottle mounted where my back seat used to be, and two of the mounting screws punctured my gas tank barely. Any way to qucik fix it or patch it? I do realize I have to drop the tank to get to it, but how can I reseal it?
"Vroom."
"Yo I wouldn't race him, there's not even an interior in his car man."
"Vrooooooom PSSSSHHH!"
"Oh sh*t. F*ck that, dude..."
LOL... nice install job... "barely" is still waaaay too much!
anyways.. i havent actually used it myself yet, but will be shortly, but you can pick up epoxy thats made for gas tank repair.. forget the brand name of it.. but it shouldnt be hard to find at your local parts store...
I've been told it works by a few people and mechanics.. and on a small hole on the top of the tank, it should do fine..
I wouldn't risk patching a gas tank. You gotta drop it anyway, so go to a junkyard and grab ya one so that you know it's a permanent fix. Hell the stuff to patch it with is like $10, junkyard here wants $20 for a tank.
With a plastic tank, just grab one from the yard. You could put a screw with a rubber grommet in the holes for now though
Any parts store (at least I know Oreillys does) will have gas tank repair kits for about 5-10 bucks that work pretty well.
