Anyone know how to disable the tcc solenoid? I keep getting the tcc malfunction code. Or better yet has anyone ever replaced it?
Why would you disable it, than you wont have overdrive

You'll still have overdrive, just not converter lockup, but it is better to replace it than unhook it unless it's just for testing purposes.
I haven't been inside the 4T40E which is the trans I think you have, but most of solenoids are either threaded or push in to a bore in the valve body.
Here is a sketch that shows where it is at:
To replace it, you need to drain the fluid, remove the pan and filter, unhook the plug from the solenoid, remove the solenoid, then reverse procedure with the new part.
just to piggyback on this thread... lol
Im not throwing a code but my car likes to surge as well when at cruising speed... at first i thought it was surging anyways...
I later realized that its the car shifting gears, not the motor surging... Now would this tcc solenoid cause this? or am i just at that magical RPM where the trans cant decide which gear to be in?
a little less or a little more throttle makes it stop... its only when holding at about 2000 rpm when at cruising speed..
