Why does my heater spin faster at an idle, and as soon as i give it gas the heater idles down a bit. Also car seems to be running a tad hotter than normal, has new water pump, bought a thermostat for it havnt put it in yet, guy at parts place said 180 was factory.

Im not sure about why your heater blower would blow like that, but as far as the car getting a tad hot, i had my water pump, timeing chain, head gasket, a valve, thermostat and gaskets replaced, and now my car runs just a bit hotter than it used to, but it does not over heat, im not sure why though, havent asked the mecahnic that did it.

ok update, went out today and threw the multimeter on it, and shes chargin at about 14.5 volts at an idle, as soon as i rev it up it drops down slowly to about 11.5 volts or so. Alternator is only a couple years old at the most, could it be the regulator in the alternator?? Any suggestions?
