Proper tire inflation

Ok, I've wondered about this for a long time now so I have to ask. Have an '01 Z24 which of course uses the larger 205/55R15 tires. The sticker on the door lists max tire pressure a 35 psi, however it indicates that for the smaller 195 r14 tires. I've been going with the 35 psi since i owned the car but wondered if that is correct for the larger size tires on this car. No unusual wear to any tires I've ever had on it so I think I'm correct with 35. I know you aren't supposed to go with the max tire inflation on the sidewall of the tires.

According to the car manufacturers, they want you to run what they say on the door/sticker. But on some cars they want 28 psi and that is way too low for me. Normal ideal pressure( depending on tire and what you are doing with the tires i.e; street, drag, road course, etc..) is set by most shops at 32 to 35 psi.. i personally do 32 rear and 35 front... ass end of my car is empty so it works pretty good... I get even wear also and mine get checked at minimum every 2 weeks, some times every week.

Depends on the tire. I run fallen azenis rt-615s And I think they say max of 55 so I usually run 20 or so psi less.

GM says 30psi all around and it says on the door too.
I normally run at 33psi front & 32psi on the back. If I am going to go on a long trip, that calls for lots of HWY use I add 2-3psi more from my normal use. I only advice this if your tire's MAX PSI tire pressure is 44psi or above, as some tire's MAX PSI holding is 35psi.
I check once a month too and never let it go down below 30psi.
