New light options
Sunday, March 28, 2010 6:15 PM
I am just wondering if anyone has upgraded the lighting in their cars. I am running Silver Star Ultra's and i love them. Recently i installed HID's in a friends ZX2 and he thinks the world of them, what do you guys/gals preffer? I also have a set of driving lights to help with high beams, the combo is blinding! but works well.

I've always used silver stars. I like them and they are not blinding to other drivers. I don't bother with the fog lights because when they aren't adjusted properly they can really blind other people. I also hate HID's coming at me at night so I don't use those either. I figure silver stars are a good middle ground.

HIDs in a proper projector setup are not blinding.

i thought to go to HID's due to everything having them now, but im not sure then would work in my headlight as weel. It is made for a standard bulb and thats what i use. I do no use fog light, but driving lights insteat. These are adjusted good, and i dint shine my highs at people much. Over the weekend i looked into optons, even projectors, and they are not all they seem to be.

I have the silverstar high beams, and a offbrand low beam blue headlight, i think they were called nyko's of something of that nature, very blue but nice for other drivers. I think the silverstars are great, but while working at a parts store i tended to see lots of people with them burning out only after a year or so. That makes me a little cautious to spend the money on them again, but I still need to see how long mine last.
