Yesterday in the vicinity of my water pump I started hearing a sort of metallic scraping/grinding noise. Is it safe to assume that this is my water pump bearing? I tried to wiggle pulley wheel and it didn't move or anything. If it's the pump I can just toss in a new one, I just wanted to get the opinions of some j-body experts! I appreciate any help you can offer me.
if i remove the compressor from the serp belt i'll need a shorter serp belt, correct?
who needs a/c, it just steals horsepower anyway muhaha!
^^ yes just go to a local autoparts store and ask for a belt for a cav (with your engine obv) that did not come with AC
