went out camping and driving down the dirt roads and one manifold to downpipe bolt was gone (has been for a while) and the other one snapped on the road. as soon as it came off the car wouldn't go over 10 mph and then it died, jumped the car and the first stop sign it stopped again. jumped it again at the next stop sign i revved it up to keep it alive but got home and turned it off and it wouldn't start again.

Battery or alternator or wiring.

battery is charged. tried 3 different batteries, alternator is fine because i drove all the way home on it. could it be the starter? the downpipe that fell off arced on the solenoid.

Probably popped a fuse or burnt up a fusible link if stuff was arcing.... If you think it's the starter or solenoid, try jumpering the two posts on the solenoid and see if the starter works... iirc there's a fusible link between the alternator and the solenoid, hidden in the wire-loom going behind the engine.
i just got a new starter from the junk yard, the starter it self worked fine, when they handed it to me it looked obviously different. i pointed it out and they said it would still bolt up and work fine. well it didnt. so i took it back and they wouldn't take it back because when trying to take the solenoid nut off to get the electrical stuff off it snapped. so i took it home. tried to rig it back together after the people at the yard being total dicks and asking me over and over if i was sure i had a 2.2. once i got it rigged up i could hear the starter spinning but not popping out. tired to put one of the bolts from the old on it and my bolt was 1-2 inches too long. so i obviously got the right starter. so im going to buy a new on and just hope to god it works

Yeah, you failed to tell a whole bunch of information.

Does the starter roll over at all or no? Does the engine not engage? Does it start and then immediately die? What do your voltages look like?

well when i got the new one it the starter would roll but not pop out. then i took it out and tested it and it poped out but didnt spin. it wouldn't catch the flywheel.
