So I read through the forums and thought I had this problem taken care of. I also tried to search and couldn't fine any info. Is someone could either help me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
When I drive my car with my A/C on (Even without the blower on), the car will almost bog down and pick up again. This happens continuously. From what I have read here, I figured it was due to the clutch engaging and disengaging on the A/C due to low R-134a levels. I had a mechanic friend of mine top of the levels and I thought everything would be solved. The A/C still does this. It also makes the car have this noise when the A/C's on which is very distinguishable (Like a really high revving little motor) I presume this is normal for our compressors? The A/C always blew really cold and still does. It just gets annoying when I'm driving and my car bogs like I'm constantly pressing the clutch in and out.
Anyone have any thoughts?
So I also noticed that my A/C was constantly turning on and off when at a stop. It would completely shut off and blow hot air and then start back up and within 5 seconds shut back off. I was parked like this for a few minutes and noticed my oil temp rose near the red. I shut the car off and let it cool. I read some more on the forums and found someone with a similar problem say that the radiator fan was not turning on. I went home and ran some tests, sure enough it was not turning on. Replaced the relay, after a quick check and it worked. Now my car does not overheat, AC works great and does not bog down as bad when driving.
Just wanted to keep anyone up to date who may have been looking into this thread.
Now off to fix that damn CEL once and for all!
Yea for some odd reason my car has a knack for blowing fan relay fuses so I just hooked up a switch to the fan no more relay problem and my a/c would cut on and off befor hand bc the fan wasn't kickin on but never bog bc of it idk man maybe time for a new a/c compresser.
Yeah, If the relay blows again I will put in a bypass switch. the bogging down seems to have gotten a lot better for the time being. I am just waiting for this compressor to crap out before I buy a new one.
