you may call me a noob to the cavies but ive got great knowledge about cars... im having a misfire problem... i keep hearing check the coil packs and the control mod... all my plugs are getting spark... everything is fireing... i think the timing jumped but i dont have a timing light to check... it runs just rough... and i can smell gas from the exhaust... any help would be greatful... and any pictures with the help would be BETTER THAN GREATFUL... i might try to touch you if you help me fix the car !!! IM THAT DAMN DESP... if i cant fix this car im gonna push it out onto the rail road tracks.... never had so much damn trouble fixing a car before....

Its gotta be the coilpack/module assembly. best thing to do is if you have a friend with the same engine, swap IDI covers, and see what happens. Its rare as hell for these to jump timing. Pls, timing lights are rlly only good with timing belts, and these cars have chains. Im willing to bet its the Coilpack/module setup. Very common, especially if you check the actual white assembly, and you see black lines across the plastic, it means its cracked if you can feel it with your fingernail. So check it out, again very common problem for misfires are them either going bad, or cracking. Goodluck!
