So every so often, but not all the time when I go to start my car I have to hold down the gas pedal to get my car to start and I can't figure out why! Can some one please help me.
Your fuel pump maybe on its way out. Next time it dont start and your about to hold down ur pedal, dont, pop the hood, and locate the little scrader valve (looks like a tire valve on ur fuel rail) thats normally under a small black cap about 1/8" in dia. Remove the cap, and push the little valve down, but stand back a little bit bc fuel may shoot out of there. If it does, then ur fuel pump is good, and u have pressure in there, if it dont, then ur pump isnt priming and is on its way out and needs replacing. If it does shoot out, then maybe ur IAC is acting up and getting stuck causing u to not have any air coming into ur engine. If you find there is good pressure at the valve, then next would be to clean ur IAC and see what happens. Other then that buddy Idk, but I do hope this helps!
