So i got my car all set to go finally, all i want to do is get it inspected and i threw the O2 heater malfuntion bank 1 sen 1. I replaced the O2 sen but my fan is still coming on and smells rich in fuel. Can anyone help me with what else could be the prob cause its a brand new sen and i know the code will throw again just didnt get out to drive it yet.

wat brand sensor did you use? did you clear the code after you replaced the sensor?
the fan will only come on when a code is present and the cel is on. so if the fan is still coming on its either because the code is still present, or the engine is up to temp(normal).

it was a bad ground wire from the engine. I got it all set thanks.
