My 96 Cavalier has been in a few front-end collisions before I got it, and the black-plastic spash-guards are all cracked, some pieces missing, etc.
I recently posted a message on here about my engine-computer case getting so corroded that it was actually split down the center, and a big puddle killed the engine - I now realize that the entire plastic spash-guard under the computer is gone, and has been allowing all the rain/snow/salt to get up in there and make a big mess.
Does anyone have a cheap way to keep water out of there? As it is right now, I can crawl under the vehicle and plainly see my evap canister / computer staring right at me. There's no protection at all.
Dave
I would just pick up the splash guards you need at the junk yard, put them in and call it a day. Dunno what the front of your car looks like, but it its too mangled to fit in easily, a lot can be done with zip ties and a little improvisation. Good luck!
Yeah good idea - I always forget about the junk-yard. These are the perfect parts to get from the junkyard - no worrying if they're good or bad!
Thanks!
