I'm a member here, but I'm writing this for a friend of a friend with a '01 Cavy LS. She had a person 5th-removed from your OP here do the front brakes, and ever since the ABS warning light has been lit continuously. And when she does brake, the car dives... settles... and dives again, until the car fully stops.
With what little I know about GM's "commonplace" 4-wheel ABS, I said whomever did the the brake-job may have disconnected the front-wheel ABS sensors, accidentally cut or pinched a wire, or... in worse-case... didn't properly bleed the system if they replaced hydraulic parts. I doubt it's ABS-module failed, but I'll bet the last possible cause I mentioned occurred... it may be having adverse effect on it.
So guys, there's the scenario... What do you think it is?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
