Earlier today I tried fitting my new fuel pump in my tank but it seems like it won't go down far enough. Is it possible that the springs is too new that why it won't go down far enough?

you hafta to literally jam it down hard and hold it .line the tabs up with the holes on the the lip of the tank and pop the snap ring in there it takes a few tries sometimes..
I'm going to try it again today. But I tried it for awhile yesterday but nothing.

Metal. My friend and I tried all day and nothing if we tried any harder I'm afraid we might break something lol I just kinda just gave up on it and decided to just buy the tank and pump in one. I was going to use that money to put money aside for those headlights but now I have to wait a couple more weeks
