my sedan isn't getting the mileage is should be (around 20-22mph), so I decided to check the usual suspects when I got home from work last night. air filter was good, so I moved on to plugs and wires (its a 2200). I only got #4 pulled before I ran out of daylight, so I put it back together and went inside. since the plug looked relatively good, I wasn't worried about the rest. but when I was driving to work this morning, the car is now spitting and sputtering when it wasn't before. anyone got any ideas as to what might have happened? I didn't drop or bang the plug to mess up the gapping, I didn't cross-thread it going back in, I didn't yank on the wire to get the boot off

Your missing somewhere.

Recheck all of the boots you played with, clean around them (oil/debris) and put some dielectric grease in it.

yea, I clean the boots up and reconnected them.. figured maybe I accidentally got some old oil and grease jammed up in there somehow. still missing. took out the plug I pulled the day prior, and found the porcelain to be cracked in two spots.. lol.. I'm gonna change the plugs and wires this weekend. thanks for the ideas tho

Sounds like your coil(s) maybe going bad. Weird thing is my LD9 is having the same issues but on initial startup and only for a few seconds. If its still doing it after you cleaned up all the connections then its time to look at coils and maybe a ignition module. Goodluck.
