sure i could figure this out myself, but at the moment i'm short on time so any help would be super, 2000 Sunfire Gt, auto, 2.4, New fuel pump was put in last spring filter etc. Other week it stopped starting from time to time, now it only starts once in awhile, i'm changed relays around, but the pump only primes from time to time, (obviously starts when it primes, doesn't when it doesn't)....when it doesn't prime, i can hear the relay making an awesome clicking noise which is leading me to believe a grounding issue (also noted that the throttle body makes noise as-well, believe it would be the idle air) anyways the question is, where is the location of the ground which controls the pump? any other question's or common problems with this? ive never encountered it. thanks in advance.
Not sure if you are having the same issue, but I was having a very similar issue. Mine was the relay under the hood was not making good contact with the pin that sends the ground/signal to the pump. I took the fuse block apart and pulled the pin out some for better contact. No more issues.
