starter compatibility

Will a starter from a 2001 cavlier bolt on to a 2003 sunfire? Have to get it off eBay tonite so I can have by saturday

if it's the same engine then yes, just beware.....01 2.2 motors are different then the 03 2.2s so that wont work

The answer is no. Since there was only one engine offered in '03, the eco, that wasn't available in 01.

I was thinking it was only compatible with 2.2 ecotecs

if the starter fits a 2001 j body, it will NOT fit a 2003 j body.
