Hey, so I just replaced the motor and clutch a few months ago, everything was working fine until suddenly a few blocks from home I was almost stranded when I couldn't get the car into gear. I managed to get it into 1st and slowly made my way home. My car has been parked for almost 2weeks now. I've tried to bleed the clutch, have a friend push down the clutch pedal open the bleeder, tighten the bleeder after relieving pressure, slowly pull up the clutch pedal while keeping the fluid reservoir full.yet still to no avail it hasn't helped. But I read online that u should locate the master cylinder, disconnect the pushrod and force the rod in forcing the piston in the master cylinder to evacuate any air in the system, here lies my problem. I am unable to find the master cylinder in my 1999 z24cavalier 5 speed.
can anyone help me out ?
Do you have any leaks coming from the trans or anywhere under the hood? sounds like something let go since it suddenly stopped working.
Not as far as I can see or tell, the reservoir holds fluid just fine and can't find anywhere it could b leaking..... Also my fluid in the reservoir which was just changed within the past few months when motor and clutch went in, the fluid was black n kinda chunky.....
