Evap Leak

So i have had this issues for the better part of 2-3 years now. i have dropped the tank to replace my fuel pump. code started AFTER this. in the winters i get the p0442 code. during the nice hot toasty summer i do not. I have replaced the gas cap 2-3 times cleared the code and it would come right back. last weekend replaced the purge valve next to the power steering pump and cleared the code and today it came back. i have found a canister and a vent valve online for not a lot of money. should i replace the vent valve first and see, or should i do the whole canister?

I have already checked and double and triple and quadruple checked lines and things of the such. I see nothing out of the ordinary.

Bi-directional scan tool, tell the purge valve to close and smoke test the evap system, have a shop do it, cheaper than buying everything else, and parts swappin..... What are the driveability issues?

there are no drivability issues at all. thats why it is strange.
