Hello. I just need a little clarification on a couple things. I searched internet and am finding conflicting info on swaping a egr motor for one without. I have a 1998 Cavalier Z24 with egr. Motor knocks (typical 2.4 lol) so I think its time to swap it out. I found a good 2.4 that came out of a 2000 Olds Alero this does not have egr though, it has a plate blocking the port. Obviously I know its possible to swap it in as all 96-02 2.4s are pretty much the same but I just wanted to clarify theadditional steps/parts necessary to make this swap poss. I read that the main difference b/n the two motors is the knock sensor. I would probably have to drill out or get adapter for this? Other than that is it just putting my egr parts on the non egr motor? Also I have a header on my car 98. From what ive read the intake and exhaust manifolds are different b/n the two so I wouldnt be able to use my header with 2000 motor? Thanks for all Help
