Long time listener, first time caller...
Saturday my serpentine belt broke; drove it home and installed a new one.
Sunday drove the car all day and then went to start it again, wouldn't start. Finally after a couple of tries it started, idles rough and then seemed fine. Drove it home and came out a while later to start it and it wouldn't start at all. Started with the fuel pump relay, no clicking so I replaced it. Clicking, but now no fuel pump coming on.
I sprayed starter fluid into the TB and she started right up. Jacked up the car and had the wife switch the ignition off and on while I hit the tank with a screw driver. Voila pump kicks on car starts up, here a click and the pump turns off again car dies. So I tested continuity to the pump, all was good, checked for broken wires, all was good. Assumed it had to be the fuel pump. Dropped the tank, replaced the pump and she fired right up.
Tonight I drove it around and it started shifting hard. Shortly after I went into a store came out and she stumbled on starting. Second try fired right up and then the shifting hard went away.
What am I missing???

Test your battery/ alternator. Could be a fpr/injector issue
A bad body control module can cause this too but I would do that if all else fails
Battery and alternator seem to test okay.
As for the ECU, my thoughts drift there also, but being intermittent, no real way to test.
Thank you for the replies. Drove fine today, just knocking on wood we stay that way.
Yeah I know their is a wire that is back at the fuel pump that I had a problem with it tounded out then fried the bcm....
