Is it possible to just tape the window all the way up then take the old regulator/motor out? I can get a pretty good deal on a regulator/motor setup and was looking for a way to do the whole procedure without removing the glass.
I've read a few how-to's on here, but I learn better with pictures and hands on.
I know that I will need some 1/4-20 bolts to remount the gear, but what size bit do I need to drill the old rivets out?
The rivets are a pain in the butt.
Yes you can tape the window up into position.
The real trick is getting the motor and regulator out of the door.
Be prepared for busted knuckles.
yes cut or drill the rivets
and taping up the glass IS actually how you do this job
