2003 Cavalier 5 speed manual.

What is the round part that right after the clutch master cylinder? I have talked to 2 different GM dealerships and they don't even show it on the any schematics they have.

Do I even need it? It is broken and needs replaced but I can find out what it is or where to get one.

Thanks

I don't know WTF that is but it definitely isn't factory. Looks like a distribution block of some sort. The whole line can be replaced and should connect directly to the master cylinder.

Could it be a hydraulic assistance mechanism?
Maybe the clutch was too stiff for an old lady to push?
NO Idea, just guessing!!!!!

I'm guessing it's whatever someone had laying around to make it work. They probably replaced the line after it wore through like the stock setup is known to do.
