So I just had to have my car towed back to the house, pushing in the the shifter won't go into gear. Fluid is full, and shifts in and out of gear great when not running. So I'm left with thinking it's the slave cylinder.from what I've found I have to pull the tranny. Anyone have any input on the best was to do this, up thru the top? Out the bottom? With or without the engine? Set it on fire? It's a 2002 2.2 o.h.v. Getrag
You could try bleeding the clutch. Does the pedal have pressure when you push it or does it stay on the floor?
Setting it on fire is the obvious best choice. But since you want the car I assume, getting to the slave can be done without taking the motor out. But the trans needs to come out
If you replace the clutch, LUK repset I think it's called is what I used the first time. Was happy with it. And not much money.
