hey homies im trying to locate my cmp/camshaft position sensor and ive heard the run around from all the youtube videos and websites saying there is one there isnt one and there is like 4 or 5 spots it can be and im just not finding it i found my crank shaft postion sensor which is like 3-4 inches from my oil filter canister but i cant find the cmp,i was wondering if there is even one on the f vin engines or am i just a dummy and its under like the air intake manifold,or is the issue coming from the ckp sensor and its just showing up as the cpm ?? idk kinda lost on it.i cant find any specifics about it in the simple repair manual from gmc that covers the three gens shoot me a reply if u have any info thank you -g

You have already found the answer. Ecotec J-bodies do not have a camshaft position sensor.
