Today I got up and started workin on my car. I got a new Thermostat, Valve Cover Gasket, New Coolant, and New Spark Plugs. It wasn't the hardest thing in the world, but my god it just took all day.
My guess is you took your time and did a good job. It's a good idea to do these simple jobs yourself and save your money for jobs that you actually should pay someone else to do, like alignments and air conditioning.
