I would guess this is a maintenance question and not a performance one since it doesnt add any power. When installing this valve cover i just got that i painted red is there anything special i need to do besides remove the old and put on the new to torque? Is there any grease or seals or gaskets i need besides the one thats already on the cover?

yes there a gasket that goes there!!

just replace the gasket and make sure you do a good job there, thats it.
