Hi i was just wondering if someone could help me out that knows about this stuff for sure. Im getting a used motor and the ones i've found so far are from a 2001 cav and a 96 cav.
My question is will this work in a fire and i was told that all u need to do to make them work is swap the intake from the fire motor and put it on the cav motor, also i heard that on the 96 or 95 engings on fires and cav's( can't quite member which year) they have a cam sensor and that wont work on a 97, is that trueand if so what year was that?
Also if anyone has or knows someone that has sunfire motors around that are in good condition, oil pressure and compression and run good leave a price and some details about it, thnxs.
Yup I know i spelled engines wrong. lol it's 1:30 am lil tired atm.
as far as i know 98+ engines had sequential injection so they would need a cam sensor. 94-97 engines in the j-bodies are identical. unless there was some kind of thing like pontiac getting the goods before chevy i think this is correct.
