The title pretty much says it all. When I start from a dead stop I can feel (and hear) a quick bark. It only does it in first gear, only from a dead-stop, and only AFTER the clutch is fully engaged.
Any ideas what is causing this or how to correct it?
Sounds like the extremely common Getrag "pennies in a can" noise...
I don't think anyone's found a fix for it. To my knowledge, it's not a problem though... no adverse affects other then the noise. There's a MASSIVE post on it somewhere around here.
