Squeling When I Turn Right

Well as the title says, my car squels, but only when I turn right. I don't know what it could be, are there any common problems that I should look into? Or should I just try looking at random stuff? It sounds like the belt, but I don't think that would make sense! I tried searching but didn't come up with much at all. Any help?

I'd say most likely the serpentine belt is going bad. If that doesn't fix it then I'd suggest the power steering pump is causing the problem.

Sounds like you need to replace your brake pads.

Does it sound like it's tire squeal? Your toe-out on turns might be off, causing the tires to drag on turns.

check the brakes. i had the same problem. i thought it was something with the pumps/suspension/belts, but i overlooked the brakes. It was under warranty so i took it to the dealership told them the problem... 3 hours later i get a 50 dollar bill for a "brake inspection" that was not under the warranty. i was all sorts of pissed since they didn't ask me if i wanted to do a "brake inspection". It turns out the pads were getting low and they only squeeled when i turned a certain way. so just check the brakes, if its not then possibly something with the power steering.....???

-good luck

The same thing happens in mine. 2000 Cavi 2200. Even when Im at a complete stop, I can turn my wheel all the way to the right and hear it. It does sound very much like a belt squeal. Between my auto's teacher, and myself we just figured it to be the power steering pump.

Another idea is that it could be a dry front hub. If it only happens when you turn one way and not the other when moving I doubt it is a belt or pump. If it squeals when you are not moving it may be the pump or belt like others have said.

I took the wheel off this afternoon, and the brakes looked ok, they will need changing soon, but I don't think they are bad enough to be causing a problem. How do I check to see if it is a dry front hub?
