Grrrr....I know for sure it's not the battery/alternator....the car wants to spark and briefly starts (for less than a second) and dies....once I got it to stay started for about 2 seconds but it died. It's odd because it seems like the car wants to start, but just can't get the job done. Any ideas? The only changes to the car was that I took out the center console a couple of days ago and the dash around the gauges/stereo (i've done it a million times) and I highly doubt that putting it back in caused any problems. It rained earlier, so maybe something got wet...Maybe the theft lock? However, no theft light and I didnt touch any of the wiring, just repainted a few pieces.
Ack need an edit button....but taking out the stock radio disable the theftlock? I've had an aftermarket head unit in there for a couple of months now.
"taking out the stock radio disable the theftlock?"
that shouldn't

Well, I went out this morning and after about four failed attempts to start it finally fired up, but it was pretty rough. It then started up over and over when I tested it, and now it's back to it's smooth starting self. There was no theft light, and I'm wondering what could've caused it, I took out the center console for paint and removed the front dash piece to re-paint, I've done it countless times without any problems.
