i've got a 99 z and did the 2000 headlight conversion and j body kit. my cars been off the road for a year and a half. my abs, e-brake, seatrbelt and air bag light is on.also some times my car won't start and my theft light flashes.also myu headlights R DIMMING AND GETTING BRIGHTER WHEN I GET ON OFF THE GAS. if i press down on the window switch whewn the window is down my cd decjk cuts out.it also does this when gettin on and off the gas.i'm stumped and need help.please get back to me or e-mail me at slowcy23@yahoo.com.

Sounds like an electical problem.

If the car has been sitting for a year, the battery is dead, or at the very least, near dead.

Have you had any little visitors inside playing with the wiring?

Check all your fuses, Your grounds, Look for bad exposed wires, Battery connection and charge.

my battery is a brand new optima red top battery. i waws thinking ground too but i'm not sure

I would definitely take off the main Earth wire from Negative Battery Post to Chassis and the Engine and really clean the cable end and the connecting point on the Chassis and engine.

Might recheck the positive Battery connection is squeaky clean as well, then try again.

It would be helpful if you could monitor the battery voltage from chassis to Battery positive terminal with the engine running.You should see about 14.5 volts here if all is OK.
