alright me and some buddys are putting on my pacesetter header and were runnning into some problems with the header clearing the ac lines and various lines on the back of the engine bay. does anybody have any advice/tips on getting them in there. it would be greatly appreciated.
If it doesnt break then you didnt drive it hard enough!
I zip tied my hoses back from my header and I know my header is bigger and takes up more space than the Pacesetter (mine is the 4-2-1 Weapon-R header).
If I was home, I would show you a picture but unfortunately I'm at work and it's not on my photobucket account of it zip tied.

Just cut and splice the two wires to make it reach.
You can't just cut and splice; O2 sensors are a finicy creature. They make an extension for the O2 sensor for it to reach.

Yes you can. I cut and spliced the kandy green cav and never had any problems.
alright well what about getting the o2 senor out of the engine bay to beable to splice it?And how much is a new ones?

I just cut the two wires, added a piece of wire long enuff to reach the new o2 bung.
ok thats what we were thinking, but its hard to reach with out trying to get wire a sottering gun and sotter to it.

ok well i got it all together, but i couldnt get the header o2 senor in since it didnt reach. so im going to make it longer tommorow, i took the car out and its running rough as hell??????? i think i might be running rich since there is some smoke comming from the exhaust or is that the ceremic coating in the headers?

make sure that once u have everything all back together that you unplug your battery for like 20min to let the computer reset itself. also the roughness could be from not having an o2 sensor in there.
this is my sig
Actually You dont have to cut the 02 sensor wires.. just pry the clip that holds the connector in place and see if that will work...Shout out to IAMRASCAL for that haha
alright thanks everyone for all the ideas and what not i just pulled the clip off and put the o2 in. running much better. just a few exhaust leaks i have to tighten up untill i get it welded.

We have 2 Ecotec Ceramic and 3 1998-02 2.2 OHV ceramic headers that we are selling out at a very good price email us.

If you don't have the cat yet, I would get the magnaflow 94035 and a 20"+ resonator.

dont cut the wires on yours
there is a tab that is holding the plug onto a bracket , you need to pop the plug off the bracket , and it will extend enough to reach
do u have it just on stock piping? im just wondering because i wanna get that header but dont have enough money to get a whole new exhaust set up

You dont need to replace any of the exhaust system. The header connects right to the stock exhaust, just before the cat converter.
