ok guys, i bought the pacesetter headers 4-1 for the 2.2. Ecotec. it didn't come with a gasket so can i reuse the stock gasket or should i buy a special fit gasket? thanks in advance.

the gaskets they send with the headers are most often pieces of crap. you'd be best off going to the parts store and getting a brand new one from Felpro. They should stock them. $11 was my cost on mine if I remember right.

I just used a new stock manifold gasket for my pacesetter header and I've had no problems at all.

Buy a new one(stock). It's cheap insurance, that way you won't have a leak at the flange.

Normaly they aren't very good. I used my stock one with 20000 miles on it, no leaks here.

i'll put it this way. my header gasket was already rusty in spots when i recieved it.
