IAT sensor idea tell me what you think.

so i've got a "above average" knowledge about this kinda stuff... but let me know what you guys think... people say relocate the IAT sensor to the grill and what not for the little tiny gain for power... but then the con is the gas guzzling when you dont need it, well i had this idea in my 5th hour today that if i were to order another IAT sensor and put that in the grill while keeping the orginal in the snorkel, i'm thinkin i could wire both sensors to a 3-position switch inside the car.. that way i can switch between the original IAT sensor in the snorkel as usual and run it that way or flip it when i wanna and use the one in the grill? let me know what you guys think... i thought it was a great idea... but like i said i'm not the absolute best with this kind of stuff and have never messed around with the IAT before.... just lemme knoww

sounds interesting, but not worth it. for the time and cost to you you might gain 1hp if that, you probably could buy an intake off ebay for less then you would have to invest in all the parts you would need to make your idea work.

What he said.

Honestly, these little tricks and ideas that people ponder up...trust me...if there was some big gains or difference from it, there would be alot of people doing it.

Not trying to sound mean at all but if you want real power, spend real money. Time and time again people will tell you that Big Horsepower = Big Money, plain and simple. Little tricks with the IAT sensor will either do nothing or gain you nothing that you can actually feel.

it will fubar the whole system.
these sensors work off resistance.when you start cutting wires and hooking up switches you mess with that and there is no telling what it will do.dont do it.
